Always a Lady…Barrel Aged Beers #7-8

I am BEYOND impressed with this Agoura Hills brewery. Both of the following beers I tasted for the first time at Stone’s Oakquinox, and I was hooked. A trip is in the works!

BEER #7

Ladyface Trebuchet Farmhouse Ale in Sauvignon Blanc barrels, 8.7% ABV: Lovely aromas of floral, citrus, and grass. On the palate, a definite Sauvignon Blanc, white wine character, with the citrus and grassiness following through. Nice dry finish with a lingering yeastiness I enjoyed!

BEER #8

Ladyface Cabernet Barrel Guillotine with Lacto and Brett: Absolutely gorgeous!! One of my favorites of Oakquinox. An amazing floral and perfumed nose with vinous notes carrying through on the palate. Perfectly balanced in sourness and brett character, and wonderfully smooth. I wish I could have sat down with this one longer. A MUST revisit.

Stay tuned! This weekend is going to be a review-fest of delicious Barrel-Aged Beers.

CHEERS.
